Prerequisites

To enroll in this WSQ Google Ads Course, you should possess the following:

  • 1 GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent (≥ 21 years old); or
  • NITEC/Higher NITEC (≥ 21 years old); or
  • Mature candidates (≥ 30 years old with 8 years of work experience); or
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis

You will need basic computer skills. While optional, having a basic understanding of sales and marketing concepts would be beneficial.

  • Learn how to craft effective search advertising campaigns, including campaign settings, audience targeting, bidding strategies, keyword match types, ad copywriting, and understanding advertising goals.
  • Explore Dynamic Search Ads, ad extensions, negative keywords, and the tools for keyword research and conversion tracking.
  • Navigate and learn to set up Google display campaigns including campaign settings, audience targeting, and creative best practices.
  • Explore Google Shopping campaigns, selecting optimal campaign types and bid strategies for various objectives.

Module 3: Measuring Success and Optimizing with Google Ads

  • Learn how to measure and optimize your Google Ads campaigns by gaining a solid understanding of key Google Ads metrics, including impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, conversion rates, and costs.
  • Learn to review your optimization score and explore the Performance Planner.
  • Customize metrics columns to display the data that matters most to you.
  • Dive into reports like search terms reports and Auction Insights, understanding Quality Score and Impression Share metrics and how they impact your campaigns.

FAQs

Do I need to have a business/personal website for the course?
No, you do not need to have a business or a personal website for this course, as you be running ad simulations for a dummy website. However, if you do have an existing website you would like to run ads for, you may simulate running ads for it during the hands-on practical sessions.
Do I have to prepare anything before attending the course?

For in-person training, do bring along a laptop. You also have the option to loan a laptop from us for the duration of the course. You may also want to bring along a jacket in case the room gets cold.

For online classes, do ensure you have a functional laptop and have Zoom installed prior to class.

As there will be WSQ assessments conducted in this course, you are required to bring along your NRIC or any form of photo identification for ID verification purposes.
