Prerequisites

To enroll in this copywriting and content writing training course, you should possess the following:

  • 1 GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent (≥ 21 years old); or
  • NITEC/Higher NITEC (≥ 21 years old); or
  • Mature candidates (≥ 30 years old with 8 years of work experience); or
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis

You will need basic computer skills. While optional, having a basic understanding of sales and marketing concepts would be beneficial.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the WSQ Copywriting and Content Writing course assessment, participants who have attended at least 75% of the course will receive a SkillsFuture WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Content Strategy under the Skills Framework, along with a Certificate of Achievement by @ASK Training.

  • Learn about the marketing mix strategy, delving into the 5 Cs – company, consumer, communication, channel, and conversion. 

Module 2: The Art of Content and Copywriting

  • Compare the differences between content marketing and advertising, and explore the different forms of content, from articles to infographics.
  • Learn how to create compelling blog, advertisement and landing page copy.

Module 3: Advanced Writing Techniques for Impactful Writing

  • Discover the five distinct writing approaches, including journalistic, storytelling, problem-solution, benefits over features, and content component. 
  • Gain copywriting tips and learn to create attention-grabbing headlines, hooks, body copy, sub-headings, and compelling calls to action while addressing objections.

Module 4: Mastering Multichannel Communication

  • Understand the use of keywords and their role in effective writing, explore keyword research techniques and master the structuring of content with pillar pages and topic clusters. 
  • Tailor your writing for websites, blogs, social media, mobile, desktop, email newsletter, Youtube videos and more. 

Module 5: Influence and Persuasion in Writing

  • Delve into the psychology of persuasive writing, tapping into the science of persuasion and pre-suasion. 
  • Understand the ethics of persuasion and explore techniques to engage emotions and humor in your writing.
