Course Synopsis
This course equips participants with a practical understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on enterprise transformation. Participants will examine key concepts, market trends, implementation considerations, and risks of failing to adopt relevant technologies.
The course covers major developments in the IT space, including Artificial Intelligence, AI TRiSM, RPA/IPA, IoT and AIoT, virtual and mixed reality, green computing, and digital twins.
Learners will also explore the post-pandemic digital workplace and the technologies shaping it, such as smart building systems, collaboration platforms, and access control solutions, before developing a proposal to optimise organisational performance through digital innovation.
Prerequisites
Language
- Attained at least WPLN level 5; or
- Obtained Grade C6 for GCE O-Level English; or
- Other equivalent qualifications.
Academic
- Obtained at least a pass or C6 at GCE O-Levels in at least 3 subjects; or
- Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis; or
- Mature candidates aged ≥ 30 years old with 8 years of relevant working experience.

- Explore and comprehend Emerging Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), AI TRiSM, Robotic Process Automation / Intelligent Process Automation, Internet of Things (IoT) + Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality, Green Computing, and Digital Twin.
- Discuss the concept of a Digital Workplace.
- Describe the evolution of the Workplace in a Post-Pandemic world.
- Recognise and differentiate the technologies that shape the Digital Workplace powered by AI, including Visitor Management Systems, Collaboration/Meeting Suites, Smart Building Platform, Security/Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Room/Desk Booking Systems, and Multi-Function Devices.
- Formulate a proposal to transform and optimise an enterprise through the application of select emerging and digital workplace technologies.
