The WSQ Business Report & Technical Writing Skills course is tailored for ICT professionals seeking to enhance their written communication skills in documenting technical information, business requirements, and IT solutions. Course Objectives
By the end of this course, learners should be able to:
- Describe the key characteristics of effective technical documentation and apply these principles to document business requirements from operational management or other stakeholders.
- Develop a business report that includes recommended standard industry IT solutions for addressing business needs and requirements.
Prerequisites
Participants should meet one of the following criteria:
- Possess a minimum of GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualification and be at least 21 years old; or
- Hold a NITEC or Higher NITEC qualification and be at least 21 years old; or
- Be a mature candidate aged 30 and above with at least 8 years of working experience; or
- Have other qualifications that will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
In addition, it is recommended that participants:
- Have basic digital literacy, including the use of Microsoft Word and online research tools, to effectively prepare reports with structured content and visuals.
- Have proficiency in written English, to meet the demands of technical writing, editing, and summarising complex information clearly.
