- Apply the ‘CALM’ framework – Content, Audience, Location, Mental preparation
- Recognize various communication situations
- Apply the Five-step approach to persuasive presentation – Catchy title, Key points, Explain, Reinforce and Sell.
- Apply the SOFTEN approach – Smile, Open arms, Forward lean, Touch, Eye contact, and Nod
- Use presentation tools, including flip charts and PowerPoint
- Apply various vocal communication techniques – enhancing auditory techniques, volume, tone, and pace
- Pronounce tongue twisting vocal elements
- Create a checklist for Q&A Sessions to deal with difficult audiences
- Conduct self-evaluation and reflection on their presentation
- Conduct impromptu speeches – participants to conduct an impromptu speech
- Structure of a presentation – Introduction, Body, and Conclusion
- Enhance PowerPoint presentations with appropriate fonts, clipart, colour etc.
- Establish effective first contact – Visual Communication (body language)
- Create impact through dressing, posture, and mannerism
- Apply the PAMPERS principle to refine their speech– Pronunciation, Articulation, Modulation, Pause, Enunciation, Repetition, and Speed
- Deal with Question and Answer situations
- Create a mock presentation – each participant will conduct a PowerPoint presentation
