Infographics Concepts and Data Visualization Techniques are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. Infographics present complex information in a prompt & clear format, such as in signs, maps, journalism, technical writing, survey, marketing collaterals and education. In a nutshell, infographics are easy-to-read illustrations that help tell a story and makes data points easier to comprehend.

We no longer need to see Column, Bar or Pie Charts to visualise or compare data in a boring manner. With the understanding of the concept and techniques used in infographics, we can create interesting and easy to understand information presented to us. It is a great way to leverage the power of the internet and display our message in a format that people appreciate. You can condense your message into a streamlined graphic with the essential information. The key is to produce an appealing graphic that gives people valuable information they can use in the real world.

This course is designed for end-users with emphasis on data layout considerations and techniques with aesthetic design to create infographics that are easy to analyse and understand. Participants will learn how to incorporate essential design components with effective formatting. Apart from using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel, participants will also learn how to use external resources to enhance the infographics.
