This course offers a practical and strategic overview of emerging technologies and digital workplace trends that are reshaping the IT and business landscape. Learners will explore the significance, risks, and implementation strategies of key technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), AI TRiSM, Robotic and Intelligent Process Automation, Internet of Things (IoT) and AIoT, Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality, Green Computing, and Digital Twin. The course emphasises the importance of staying ahead of market trends and highlights the consequences of failing to adopt relevant innovations.

Participants will also examine the evolution of the workplace in a post-pandemic world and gain insights into the concept of the Digital Workplace. They will explore AI-powered workplace technologies such as Visitor Management Systems, Collaboration Suites, Smart Building Platforms, Security and Surveillance Systems, Access Control, Room/Desk Booking Systems, and Multi-Function Devices.

Through guided discussions and practical case studies, learners will explore how businesses can prepare for and benefit from new technologies. By the end of the course, you will gain the confidence to contribute ideas for digital transformation and support innovation in your workplace, even if you’re new to technology.

  • Formulate a proposal to transform and optimise and enterprise through the application of select emerging and digital workplace technologies.
Who Should Attend

This Emerging Technologies and Trends course is ideal for IT professionals and individuals interested in staying abreast of the rapidly evolving landscape of IT technologies and their impact on the business and societal landscape.

Prerequisites

To enrol in this course, you should possess the following:

  • Certificate in IT Infrastructure and Operations; OR
  • Mature candidates (≥ 30 years old with 8 years’ work experience in a IT-related field); OR
  • Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis

  • Lectures: Traditional lectures are an essential component of the course, where the trainer/facilitator presents the core concepts, theories, and principles of information technology. Visual aids such as slides, diagrams, and examples may be used to enhance understanding.
  • Interactive Discussions: Organise interactive class discussions to encourage participation. This allows you to ask questions, share your thoughts, and engage in debates related to IT topics.
Certification

Upon successful completion of the Emerging Technologies and Trends course assessment, participants who have attended at least 75% of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance by @ASK Training.
