AI-Ready SME: Preparing Your SME Workforce for AI-Driven Change by Victor Teo, Assistant Business Manager, SME Centre@ASME
Artificial Intelligence is fundamentally reshaping how Singapore SMEs hire, operate, and compete. While overall hiring sentiment has softened, employers are actively paying a premium for talent equipped with AI literacy and critical thinking—with over 80% already leveraging AI across recruitment, onboarding, and training. For local SMEs, the greatest threat isn’t technological disruption; it is standing still.
This practical sharing session equips SME owners, business leaders, and HR professionals to prepare their most valuable asset—their people—for the AI era. Attendees will explore the specific skill sets currently rewarded in Singapore’s job market, master the 4R Framework (Retain, Retrain, Redesign, Redeploy) to foster seamless human-AI collaboration, and walk away with an actionable 30-60-90-day adoption roadmap supported by key national manpower resources.
3:00 PM: Organizational Health in the Age of AI by Raymond Teoh, Trainer, @ASK Training
AI fluency has shifted from a competitive advantage to a baseline requirement in the workplace. The session emphasises moving beyond generic ChatGPT prompts towards role-specific AI agents, fine-tuned models, and custom workflows across key functions such as Marketing (Generative Engine Optimisation), HR, Operations, Finance, and Legal.
To thrive, professionals must become “T-shaped bridge professionals” who combine deep domain expertise with cross-functional AI literacy to drive measurable organisational ROI. Ultimately, attendees are encouraged to adopt an adaptability mindset, audit their current roles, and take immediate action.
3:30 PM: Audience Q&A
An open-floor discussion addressing data privacy, deployment hurdles, and grant application pathways.
4:00 PM: Peer Networking & Consultation
Facilitated networking with fellow SME attendees alongside one-on-one clinics with LLSG career advisors, SME Centre business advisors, and @ASK Training consultants.
5:00 PM: End of Event
