Adobe Photoshop – Basic to Intermediate

Adobe Photoshop is the industry leading software for image editing. This course seeks to equip beginner level graphic designers, photographers and web designers with the tools needed to produce designs and images quickly. Even digital artists who have years of experience under their belts in traditional media will find the course beneficial.


Photoshop CC - Elementary to Intermediate


In this 2-day ‘Adobe Photoshop – Basic to Intermediate’ workshop, participants will be introduced to essential components of the Photoshop interface such as the panel, menus and tools. Participants will then be guided on how to create new images and open images that they have taken with their digital cameras in Photoshop for image editing, with a focus on applying Photoshop to real-world projects for participants to see its relevance in today’s digital arena.


Participants will have plenty of hands-on opportunities to explore a range of image editing tools such as selection techniques, cropping, resizing, layering, painting, cloning, blending modes and filtering to produce web or print ready images.


Course Objectives – Adobe Photoshop – Basic to Intermediate

By the end of the course, you would be able to:

  • Add realistic visual effects to images
  • Familiarize yourself with design creation and image editing techniques using Photoshop
  • Familiarize yourself with the tools and features available to maximize your creative potential
  • Produce professional designs for both print and web


Participants can also consider attending the Infographics Concepts and Data Visualization Techniques course and Web Design & Development course for the chance to conceptualize and apply their designed images to real-world projects.
