Email writing is an essential tool in our day-to-day communication. Majority of companies require their employees to write or respond to emails. However, many of us are not able to write concisely and coherently to send across our messages clearly.

 

Writing good emails are essential in ensuring that organizational interests are well represented. It also reflects the competency and professionalism of the writer in his or her job role.

 

In our 1-day workshop, ‘Email Writing at the Workplace’, we will share with our participants tips on how they can improve their email writing to appear to be more professional and effective at work.

Email Writing at Workplace

Participants will gain a better appreciation of the importance of good email writing at the workplace as they are shown how to respond to incoming emails and craft outgoing emails with the appropriate etiquette.

 

Participants will be ready to apply the best practices of email writing to their future email correspondences at the end of this workshop.

 

Course Objectives – Email Writing at the Workplace

By the end of the course, you would be able to:

  • Write effective emails that are clear, concise and grammatically correct
  • Recognize the importance of email etiquette
  • Present emails that reflect your professionalism

 

Participants can also consider taking up some of our other writing courses such as Effective Writing Skills, Report Writing, or Write Minutes of Meeting to further enhance their writing skills for the modern workplace.

    • Write subject lines that send your message across effectively
    • Identify your key purpose of writing to the reader (to influence, inform, complain or apologize)
    • Write a concise and coherent emails that highlight your most important message
    • Write with active voice for more powerful messaging to achieve your writing aims

     

  • Email Writing at Workplace helps you to understand and learn the principles of writing that make your emails work. This would include how to address and sign off emails, use language correctly, organize your content, and consider your reader to make sure that your emails are effective. Some habits that writers have that may hinder communication and tarnish their professional image will be highlighted too.
